Greydon Clark's Angels' Revenge is a shameless knock-off of the hit television show Charlie's Angels, but with seven beautiful women on the central crime-fighting team instead of three. While the "Angels" aren't sitting around in bikinis, they fight against a sinister drug cartel lead by Jack Palance. Basically the plot boils down to this: one of the Angels is a high-school teacher who discovers that her students are getting hooked on drugs. So she recruits six other women to form a team to shut down the pushers...by any means necessary. Angels' Revenge uses one of the oldest methods to deflect accusations of sexism by critics and audiences: it makes the scantily-clad women fight against an evil that puts their promiscuity to shame. Yes, the women might be nothing more than eye candy (I mean, why do there need to be seven of them). But what does it matter when they fight men who turn young children into drug addicts? But whatever the case, Angels' Revenge is a tired, gloomy film despite the cheerful (and occasionally sadistic) central characters. Most of the other actors look like they would rather be anywhere else than in this film. I can't blame them.
